Face every 10 years
This is a long term project that involves life casting Maz’s face once every decade to track and document the influence of time on Maz’s visage. The first casting was made in 2014 and the next is due this summer of 2024. Maz intends to continue this project until their final decade, whenever that may be. This project explores concepts like aging, identity, health, and evolution.
Lance, LeAch & Poultice
Lance, Leach and Poultice are a trilogy of short films about the process of identifying, processing and ultimately ending the cycle of trauma. This narrative is told metaphorically by comparing the act of healing psychological trauma to the steps in healing an abscessed wound. The title of the trilogy (Lance , Leach & Poultice) is a direct protocol for treating such a wound in the tradition of folk medicine. The films use a variety of media to tell each story, including puppetry, movement, and stop-motion animation. The first film in the trilogy, “Lance”, was released in 2018. The second film “Leach” is currently in pre-production.

Penis Iron Maiden :
The Penis Iron Maiden is an interactive piece that combines the horror of medieval torture with the male phallus. Resembling a cross between an armoire and a coffin, the PIM is activated when participants step inside to be gently impaled by hundreds of silicone penises while they gaze at their own dimly lit reflection.
